It's tough. You make Changes because you know you want to get fitter, but it takes time. And, because results don't show as quickly as you'd like, it's easy to feel downhearted.
But this is the time to get strong.
If you are tempted to go for a quick feel-good boost and start a fad diet, think again. From my own experience, they don't work. At first they seem awesome and the weight falls off you. But, if you don't follow them properly, as soon as you start eating properly again, the weight will pile back on. Sad but true.
Below are 2 images of me - the first was before I started a low-calorie diet and the second was 6 months later and 7 stone lighter. Now I've come off the plan and have lost all discipline, I am bigger than ever before and feeling a lot worse for it.
Small Changes are what is needed for the long term. So, no, results won't show instantly but gradually you will feel better and better and it will be easier to maintain.
The only Big Decision you have to make is that you want to feel better, you want to feel fitter. You want to Change. Once you have made that decision, it's about getting your head in the zone. Realise that you are not missing out on anything, you are simply working towards a healthier, happier you. And accepting that chocolate, or anxiety, or whatever it is, will no longer have control of you, you will have control over it.
Why have I wrote this post, you may ask? Because I'm the one who was looking for that weight-loss boost. I'm the one who is fed up with being out of breath every few steps I walk. I'm the one whose head is still not in the zone. And I'm the one who, honestly, is feeling desperate now.
But this is the time to get strong.
I didn't create this website to talk and talk. I created it for motivation. For me. And it has to work. And I'm going to make it work. It's just taking a lot longer, and is a lot LOT tougher, than I anticipated.
Change is awesome, but Change is also extremely difficult.
But it will be worth it.
Until the next post, Big Love xx
