Seasons Greetings!
Christmas is almost upon us!
But, whether you celebrate it or not, it seems the rush and stress is contagious. From the queues into the shopping centre to the queues at the checkout, and everything in between, people are pushing and piling up, hell-bent on getting in and out of the place as quickly as possibly. Unpleasant when you only popped in for a carton of lactose-free milk...
Whilst it's all too easy to join in, huffing and puffing at everyone and everything, just take a minute to ground yourself. Look around you. Look at all those stressed out faces. All those people who, rightly or wrongly, look annoyed or miserable. Then think about yourself.
Take a moment to count your blessings. I know it sounds cliché but sometimes we need that bit of cheese (lacto-free for me please) to knock us down a notch or 4 and think about what actually matters. You matter. I mean it. You matter more than you realise. Sometimes it's easy to lose sight of this but, please, don't. Focus on You. Focus on Your wellbeing, Your happiness. And once you do this, guess what? It'll rub off on others and make them happier!
And with the New Year racing towards us, make not a resolution list that you will no doubt give up on after 2 weeks and feel rubbish about. Instead, make a promise. To yourself. Promise that you will do what it takes to look after You. That's all, no more and no less. You owe yourself. And you deserve it.
So, with that said, I will raise a mug of Bailey's hot chocolate and say "Cheers to you, Cheers to me," and I will mean it. Because 2023 will be the year that I, and any darling who reads my posts, get our priorities straight and start living our best.
I believe in you ❤❤
Have a wonderful Christmas.
Until the next post, Big Love xx
